How do I use my own domain name with Adobe Portfolio?
Adobe Portfolio is a service that allows you to create a website online using one of their templates.
When you publish your website to Adobe Portfolio, it usually ends up at an address that looks something like this:
http://example.myportfolio.com/
However, if you own a domain name (such as example.com) through Tiger Technologies, you can easily make your Adobe Portfolio web site appear at your domain name instead.
To do this, follow the instructions on the Adobe Portfolio I already have a custom domain and I want to use it with Adobe Portfolio page. It describes two things to do:
- Add DNS “A records” on our end to point the site at the IP address Adobe provides. (We can do this for you if you contact us and send us the IP address.)
- In your Adobe Portfolio account, enter your your domain name in Settings > Domain Name.
After you make these changes, your Adobe Portfolio site should start working within 15 minutes. (You may need to clear the cache in your web browser to see the change right away.)
Will this affect my email service?
No, this change will not affect any email service you have through us or any other company. The email will keep working as it always has. (If you have a hosting account with us, don’t cancel it; you need the “hosting” service for the email to keep working.)
