To unlock your domain name that was registered with DirectNic, login into your account at www.directnic.net.

1. Click Customer Settings.
2. Click Set Transfer Security.
3. Click Transfer Security Settings Manager.
4. Check the domain name you wish to change and select Normal Security.
5. Click Submit Transfer Security Changes.

It will then take 12 to 24 hours before the central domain registry is notified that the domain name has been unlocked. During this time, you can still place the transfer order on our website: when our pages tell you the domain name appears to be locked, just choose the option saying that you have already unlocked the domain name. We'll start the transfer as soon as the central registry shows it as unlocked.
